SYSTRONICS Enters African Markets With International Trade Suite For ACCPAC Advantage Series
Dubai – January 10, 2004: SYSTRONICS, an ACCPAC Development Partner, announced today that it will be debuting its latest product offerings at the ACCPAC Partnership 2004 Conference & Expo, which is to be held in Gabarone, Botswana, followed by End-User Seminars in Cape Town, Durban & Johannesburg, South Africa, between the 5th and 13th February, 2004.
ACCPAC Solution Providers visiting the conference and end-users participating in seminars will be able to see Trade Finance™ and Trade Job Costing™ applications that uniquely enhance the functionality of ACCPAC Advantage Series in addressing international trade business needs.
The ACCPAC Partnership 2004 Conference & Expo in Africa is an annual event that brings together leading ACCPAC Solution Providers from around Africa & Development Partners from around the world, to give them insight into the latest developments and solutions that are currently being deployed by leading organizations worldwide.
“The African market is one of the oldest and largest ACCPAC customer bases, offering us growth opportunities,” said Zareh Tutunjian, CEO of SYSTRONICS. “With a number of projects under way, we are very keen in partnering with ACCPAC Solution Providers in that region to offer our solutions to ACCPAC customers through them. We are very happy that the announcement of our International Trade Suite coincides with Partnership Africa 2004, where our products will find a fertile ground,” continued Tutunjian.
The management of Letters of Credit, Letters of Guarantee, Trust Receipts, Loans, etc., is normally handled through specialized stand-alone applications. For organizations that process dozens of LCs per month, integrating these financial operations and the exposure resulting from them with their financial accounting system is a great challenge, especially with additional requirements for managing relevant paper-based and electronic documents.
“Trade Finance was conceived in response to customer demand. The first version will cater to the management of Outward LCs only. Customers will be able to manage letters of credit from inside ACCPAC Advantage Series for the first time, posting vendor payments and bank charges directly to Accounts Payable and Bank Services. They will also be able to attach relevant electronic documents and produce various exposure reports,” continued Tutunjian.
Most international trade businesses process their deals in a unique manner, where merchandise is shipped from the manufacturer to the customer directly. Sales, cost of sales, additional charges, commissions and profitability are thus handled in a manner specific to these deals, where job or project numbers play a key role. Additionally, these organizations require managing image and file attachments associated to these jobs.
“Trade Job Costing introduces a totally new dimension to ACCPAC Advantage Series by addressing the specific needs of international trade organizations. This type of business requires the preparation of estimates, selling of products before they are bought, consolidation of shipments, consolidation of purchase orders, and monitoring of results instantly, to name a few. Management of deals and posting of sales and purchase transactions to ACCPAC Advantage Series by job number are unique features of Trade Job Costing,” concluded Tutunjian.
Field Extender™ 5.2A and the recently released CashWorks™ 5.2B will be the two other products on display during Partnership Africa 2004.
