SYSTRONICS Adds Electronic Document Management Functionality To ACCPAC Advantage Series

Dubai – February 23, 2004: SYSTRONICS, an ACCPAC Development Partner, announced today its participation in annual North American event, which is to be held in Vancouver, BC, Canada, between the 25th and 27th April, 2004.

ACCPAC Solution Providers visiting TPAC will be able to see Field Extender™ 5.2B that delivers the unique functionality of adding electronic attachments to any Advantage Series transaction.

The Third Party Advantage Conference (TPAC) brings together leading ACCPAC Solution Providers and Development Partners from around the world, to give them a unique opportunity to review latest developments and solutions that can be deployed by ACCPAC users worldwide.

“TPAC, unlike other partner conferences which offer a general agenda, is a neutral ground where Solution Providers visit to meet Development Partners and to learn about 3rd Party Products,” said Zareh Tutunjian, CEO of SYSTRONICS. “Even ACCPAC International participates with only their Optional Products. This makes TPAC a place where ACCPAC partners come to enhance their skills in horizontal add-on products like our Field Extender and CashWorks™, and vertical add-on products like our Trade Finance™ and Trade Job Costing™,” continued Tutunjian.

There have been a number of previous attempts to build Document Management functionality in ACCPAC Advantage Series. Some of these solutions have been costly, while others complex. Customers worldwide require a simple and a very economical means of attaching ad hoc electronic documents to various transactions; like copies of invoices received from vendors, images of stock items, copies of air way bills, signed copies of delivery notes, signed copies of payment vouchers, approved budget spread sheets, project schedules and many more.

“The idea to add support for electronic attachments to Advantage Series was a result of strong end-user demand and our continued efforts for adding functionality to Field Extender. The good thing about our solution is that electronic documents are not just retrieved using links from a loosely secure common repository, but are completely encapsulated in Advantage Series database tables. This approach allows the use of available database management tools, provides support for multiple database platforms and adds access security functionality to each document. Intuitive usage of this feature, with no retraining requirements is another major feature of our solution,” continued Tutunjian.

The addition of Electronic Document Management feature to Field Extender 5.2B will result in the use of this technology in future releases of other applications. CashWorks, Trade Finance and Trade Job Costing will be the first such Advantage Series Add-Ons to benefit from it. Moreover, this functionality will be available to other 3rd Party Developers, who would be able to easily add this much-sought-after end-user requirement in their own solutions.

“Our strategy is to continue development work on Field Extender, adding new technical and functional features to it, making them a natural extension to functionality introduced by ACCPAC in future versions of Advantage Series. We aim at maintaining Field Extender the preferred customization tool for Solution Providers and Development Partners alike, in their efforts to provide sophisticated solutions to demanding end-user requirements,” concluded Tutunjian.

Latest versions of CashWorks, Trade Finance & Trade Job Costing will also be on display at TPAC.
