Synopsis

Transportation & Distribution Manager is a Sage ERP Accpac add-on module designed to automate and facilitate routine daily tasks in any continuous processing and distributing business. In addition to automating daily tasks, this application also includes flexible inquiry tools, sales reports, MIS reports and process reports. There is also a very basic CRM module.

Transportation & Distribution Manager is integrated with the Sage ERP Accpac Order Entry module. The process starts by entering sales orders for customers. Based on sales order information, Transportation & Distribution Manager generates production reports that can be used as the basis for producing or purchasing products on a daily basis for consequent delivery to customers. Delivery routes can be defined with customers listed in each route in the most optimal order defined by driving conditions. Picking slips and drivers’ run sheets are produced to facilitate delivery of goods.

The whole application is optimized for efficient operation. For example, picking slips, drivers’ run sheets, invoices and adjustment notes (credit notes) are printed in the order in which goods are delivered to customers, making distribution of documents easy. Powerful inquiry screens make all information available at the click of a button. Drill-down possibilities are built in inquiry screens, so that user can see details of the originating transactions.

Here are further highlights:

Feature Description
Production Entry UI
Delivery Entry UI
These UIs are used to scan all new orders created in the Sage ERP Accpac Order Entry module and generate production and delivery sheets. These sheets can be previewed on the UIs themselves (in summary format) as well as printed (in detail format).
Process Reports These reports include the following:
  1. Production Sheet (specifies how much of each product should be either produced or purchased for consequent delivery to customers).
  2. Driver Run Sheet (Specifies detailed delivery instructions to drivers).
  3. Picking Slip (used while picking products for delivery).
  4. Invoices (invoices to be delivered to customers along with goods).
  5. Adjustments (credit notes to be delivered to customers along with goods).
Inquiry Options There are two inquiry UIs in Transportation & Distribution Manager:
  1. Customer Activity
  2. Product Movement
Both UIs list information about orders, shipments, invoices, credit notes, products, etc. The user can choose to see in these UIs selected fields from the originating transactions. Complaints related CRM information is also available here.
CRM Allows recording customer complaints and tracking their status.
Sales Reports These reports show sales information in various formats, including comparison with the same period last year, contribution report (showing which item/customer contributes the most), etc.
Sales Ranking Ranks customers and products by amount of sales.
Customer and Product Lists Various reports are available listing customers and products on criteria like whether the product/customer is active, whether sales was done using default pricelist, etc.
